Multiple intelligence.
"Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree it will live it's whole life believing that it is stupid" wise words by Harward Gardner.
Multiple intelligence is a theory that describes the different ways a student learn and acquire information. It was discovered by Harward Gardner. He believed that anything is worth teaching can be presented in many different ways. These multiple ways can make use of our intelligences.
When we all hear the word intelligence we think of IQ testing. I define intelligence as the power of knowing the ability to understand and or deal with new situation. I believe that it is something we are born with and a capacity that is difficult to manipulate.
However, inorder to capture the full range of abilities and talent's that people posses, Gardner's theorizes that people do not have just an intellectual, including musical, interpersonal, spacial visual, linguistics intelligence, etc.
Gardner's theory has come under criticism both psychologist and educators. These critics argue that Gardner's definition of intelligence is too broad and has eight different intelligences simply represent talents personality traits and abilities. Gardner's theory also suffer from a lack of supporting empirical research.
However, educators have positively responded to Gardner's theory of intelligence. It has been embraced by range of educational theorists and significantly, applied by teachers and policy makers to the problems of schooling.
Having multiple intelligences is intelligent itself ,it's surprising how you keep expressing whom you are
