Speaking in public!

A wise man once said "Public speaking is the art of diluting a two minutes idea with a two hour vocabulary".

Speaking in public has never been easy especially when you are presenting to people you don't know. In high school we always so orals, unprepared or prepared speech, but they never teach us how to present, they only tell us to present especially if you went to this public schools in townships. When you stand in front of your I class it looks easier because you already know your classmates.

I recall my first time presenting to people whom am not used to and to a person I don't know at NEMISA. We were assigned to present about our dream speech . It was literally not easy because we are +-20 in a room and the person assessing us was virtual. I know it sound funny because am known to being a person who takes too much and not afraid of anything, but to tell the truth  very shy when it comes to things like this standing in front of people and having to speak with them is scary. After presenting I gained more confidence and with the feedback I received removed small portion of fear and made be curious and wanting to do more speeches so that I can be ready for the real world, because what they basically do is to prepare us for the real world so that we may be able to overcome and handle the challenges we will encounter.

What I realized with speaking in public is that it does not only boost your confidence but it warms up your voice, it prepares you for the worst. Public speaking is a skill you get at just like anything with practice.
